Luthando Nkosi s’ football career started back in 2010,but he didn’t take it seriously until 2011 where he was the only grade 3 in the first team back in Nelsville combined school.His influence comes from home,both his uncles are footballers themselves and his grandfather used to play football also,so everything he knows about football he got it from them.Luthando stated,he grew up wanting to play football, and hopefully play in the World Cup.Regarding his challenges,he told us ,faced lot of challenges, people making empty promises ,not performing and a lot of injuries like the time he fractured his ankle and tore a ligament which took him out for almost a year.Lessons he picked during his football journey “said” there are a lot of lessons you pick up while playing football but he thinks one that stands out form him is to be humble and Respectful to both your teammates and opponents no matter what.According to him concerning football development in South Africa,he would like to see SAFA invest more into the development of their football, because personally having experienced European football and African football,they are nowhere near them interms of development,they have the likes of Foden and Sancho playing in the Big Leagues and these boys less than 22 years old,so they still have a lot to improve on.Baby sisters motivates Luthando to do better every day.he wake up and grind with the hope of making it professionally,so he can provide for them and his mom.Travelling to the UK was great experience for Luthando,got to experienced European football and African football, and he got to compared both sides.They learned the European football way which helped them a lot when they came back because they could position themselves properly to receive the ball and know what to do with it before you get it.he highlighted regarding his Best Mentor/Coach, said had a lot of great coaches in his football career, like Coach Wonder ,Coach Sihle,Coach Kuda and Coach George for him who are all great coaches ,but he’d have to say Coach Sihle is his best coach , because they don’t only speak about football but he can speak to him about peers onal things off the field and get advice from him regarding other personal stuff, happily said so yes it’s Coach Sihle.His favourite football idol is Christiano Ronaldo reason being he ‘s one of the Best players in the World and it pushes him to work as hard as him.In 3 years s’ time would like to see himself in Glad Africa Championship if not the Premier Soccer League and Representing South Africa,also hopefully move overseas and play there as well.Words of his supporters back home,to everyone that has been supporting him from day one,he really appreciate it,most of the time when he feel like giving up its them that pushed him to do better so thank you to them all.Encouraging words for upcoming youngsters “said” the sky is the limit, meaning you can do whatever you want,you can be whatever you want as long as you work hard enough and respect and listen to your coaches , you do that and he guarantee you, your football will improve and one day you’ll be where you want to be.Thoughts concerning the online publications,he thinks is a great platform because they get to know more about footballers and how they think, and it shows them how they think , and what they ‘re doing in their lives.
